Mr. Right vs. Mr. Right Now

Published by dianae at 2:08 pm under Dating Edit This

How can you tell if the guy you are dating is Mr. Right or Mr. Right Now?

First, look at how he treats you. If he treats you right, that’s great. But if you find yourself feeling down often, there’s something wrong there. No one should ever make the other person feel bad about themselves, no matter what the circumstances are. A person has the right to love themselves and no one should take that away from them.

Next, notice how well you get along. Do you have tons of fun or it is usually quiet and awkward? If it’s still quiet and awkward after even a few months, it’s time to move on. When you are with someone new, everything you do together should be fun and a learning experience to find out about each other. It’s a good thing if you still have a lot to talk about after being together for a long time. But when it’s just starting out and you’ve run out of things to say, you may need to take a second look.

How do your friends and family react to him? Usually outsiders can give you a clue on what they notice when the two of you are together around them. Do they see that special spark in your eyes as you look at each other? Or do they see sadness and anger from you two? Ask friends and family for their opinions if they haven’t given it to you already.

Think about the future. Could you see yourself being with this person for the rest of your life? If your answer is no, then it’s time for a change. Don’t let him suck the life out of you, unless you enjoy every minute of it. :)

Lack of conversation is awful. If you’ve been dating a long time it’s a comfortable silence. In the beginning it’s just a ridiculous hassle!
