Walking Away

Published by dianae at 8:30 pm under General Edit This

I just finished watching Good Will Hunting. Overall, I thought it was okay, but I guess that love story could have been more developed, but that’s what you get from two men writing the screenplay.

Watching that movie brought up good points to me. It shows how men can just walk away from something, not willing to work it out at that moment. They need to step away from the situation in order to gain control of it again. While this makes many of them look heartless, I don’t really think most men care. If they don’t get what they want, most of them pout and you can’t get another word into them until THEY are ready to talk.

It sucks, it really does. I, as a woman, need to resolve issues before I part with the person, and them just walking away doesn’t help the situation. In the movie, Matt Damon’s character walked away from the girl, telling her he didn’t love her, but he DID love her. To me, it’s all just a game we play with each other. Well, play time is over!
