Are You Kidding Me?

So the smooth talker guy came into my work today with his buddies and he comes right up to me telling me he lost his phone and has to get another one. (He had told me previously that he always breaks or loses phones because he’s in construction)

He starts explaining the story to me of how he thinks he lost it and I’m wondering why he has to come up with a story at all. It’s not like I was mad at him or anything when he showed up today. So he asked what I did last night and I said I went out and he was asking questions about where I went, etc.

Then he makes the comment about how I didn’t invite him along and I told him his phone was lost, I wouldn’t have gotten ahold of him anyway to which he replies ‘Yeah but at least you could have called!’

So he told me since he doesn’t have his phone that I can stop by anytime to his house and I told him I wasn’t going to just show up there. I really don’t want to see him in the middle of something with some girl.

So I told him to call me when he gets his phone back and he said he was going to run up to the store later and get another one and that he’d call me later. Yeah, right.

So then I talk to his buddy about a tattoo party he’s having and I said I’d get a tattoo if Smooth Talker gets one too. So Smooth Talker says he’ll get one with my name on it. I was like, ‘Umm, no.’ He asked why not, and I just said no again. Although I do have a theory that he currently has a tattoo with a bunch of girl’s names on it, which would fit in perfectly with his suggestion of getting my name on it.

Thank god I don’t have to work for a few days so I won’t have to see him in the store. His buddies were all snickering and acting like little girls because they knew we went out. They are probably used to him picking up girls with his lines and are curious to see if I’m falling for it.
