Do Stalkers Ever Go Away?

Published by dianae at 6:41 pm under General Edit This

Well, I’m pretty sure I caught Psycho following me again today. For those who don’t know, Psycho is an ex of mine that stalked me for two years and I ended up having him arrested and took him to court so I could obtain a 5 year protection order. That was last October. Since then it’s been pretty quiet, but as I was driving home today, I noticed a car behind me that had the same driving pattern as Psycho did. As in, driving towards the right side of the road so I couldn’t see him in my side mirror, and looking out the window as if he was sightseeing and not staring straight ahead.

I got what I could for a license plate number, and then went to the police. I must have gotten the plate wrong, because it came back as a different model car than what I saw.

I hate this shit. Why don’t people understand the word ‘No’? When someone doesn’t want you anymore, what gives you the right to follow them and make their life hell? Why is another person allowed to put someone in fear for their life? Who deserves that?

And the sad part is, these stalkers get away with a lot of stuff. It was hell for me to go to court every time just to have the case be continued. It served his purpose though, he would get to look at me and stare at me in court.

People that aren’t citizens of the US and have criminal charges racking up against them should be automatically deported. He was being charged with menacing by stalking, but like I said, I was put through hell with this and finally just gave up because I couldn’t face going to court anymore and have him look at me. So it was brought down to a disorderly conduct. But he has multiple drunk driving charges too, so this combined should be getting immigration to look at him for deportation. It’s just not fair.

I was once told that a stalker will always break their restraining order. Well, if I’m right and this was him following behind me today, then I guess there’s going to be some problems for him.

Why do the bad people always get away with stuff?

I’m sorry. I was stalked once so I know how it feels, but mine went away after a while.

It’s a mental disorder as far as I am concerned.

Here’s my thing. If you can afford an attorney and prove that it was him in that car or you see him again, see about filing having him brought to court on Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress.

It’s more than the damn restraining order, which is nothing but a piece of paper. It offers no protection to anyone.

I know people who have been physically harmed prior to the restraining order. You’d think they’d do more.

Any little charge you can file will help.

    Trespassing, assault, disorderly conduct, whatever.

Also, if you do see him and you feel threatened, when you call the cops say there has been an assault to get them there, they come faster than if you say you are scared…I had a law teacher tell me that during a Business Law class in college.
