Are You Kidding Me?

Okay, I think I’ve got a story that tops it all this time. I hung out with the Smooth Talker yesterday…he had called and wanted to know if I wanted to go Christmas shopping. I wasn’t doing anything, so I said fine.

Since it was a very long day, I’ll make the story semi-short. We started getting into a conversation about how he uses women. He was telling me all of his tactics, how he goes about things, and how he really wants to change and get away from that and find someone to settle down with. (Yeah, whatever).

So, I wasn’t planning on spending the whole day with him, but we headed back to his place cause he needed to do some cleaning. So I asked him if he was cleaning up because a girl was coming over. At first he said no, then later on admitted that yes, he had a girl coming over, but that she was coming over to look at a room in his house. The story he gave me was that one of his friends knows a girl that needs to rent a room near the college she goes to and asked if Smooth Talker would help her out. So he said yes, because “that’s what he does”, even though he has no intention of letting any girl live with him.

So he told me that she was going to come over at 7pm and I was like ‘Well, I’ll leave, no big deal’. And he said that No, he wanted me to stay because he wants to “change his ways” and be a better person, and that if I was there he wouldn’t be tempted to do what he normally does. So, I was slightly amused and decided to stay.

So around 7 this girl shows up and Smooth Talker introduces me as his girlfriend. He goes to show her the house, I’m sitting on the couch texting people, and soon they come out and he says he’s going to show her the rest of the property outside. So, this whole thing only lasted like 5 minutes before Smooth Talker comes back in from outside claiming that he was so proud of himself because he resisted the temptation.

He also proceeds to tell me about how the girl was trying to flirt with him outside, asking if I was really his girlfriend, if we were serious, etc. etc. So then she apparently tells him ‘Well, I don’t know how long your girlfriend is staying, but if she leaves, give me a call and we can go get a drink or something’

I really don’t think a girl would do that. Well, I really don’t think a girl that LOOKS normal would do that. The poor girl is a struggling college student, and could easily have gotten conned by this guy. So I guess me being there helped someone out, but who knows, he could call her up telling her that they could meet for a drink anyways.

So today, I’m talking to Smooth Talker’s construction buddy and explaining to him how it was weird last night that a girl was looking at his place for a room for rent. His friend then tells me that that’s what Smooth Talker does, he goes on Craigslist and posts that he’s looking for a roommate. And when a guy answers the ad, he tells them that the room is taken, but when a girl calls for it, he invites them over to look at the property and then puts the moves on them.

Unbelievable. I mean, I knew he was like this, but not going to extremes like this. So, I was relating the story to my mom today, so she decides to do a quick search on Craigslist using his phone number, and comes up with this:

My God lol. I couldn’t believe it when I read it. In one way I feel bad for these unsuspecting people that answer this ad, and in another way I’m wanting to tell him I know about this ad. All day yesterday I kept being sarcastic with him calling him a player, and how using girls like this while being so obvious about it makes him look like a loser, etc. And he stood there and took it. But on the other hand, I don’t even want to bother with him anymore because this is just…bad.

So, I know I’ve said it before, but this time I’m done. No one believes me, and that’s fine, but I know I’m done. He’s WAY too weird for me, and I’ve had some real weirdos in my life.

I just don’t understand why last night he had me stay there while this girl was over. He could have totally told me to go and could have put the moves on her like he usually does.

I think that he doesn’t like it that I’m not falling all over him. Ugh, what a loser. I think this time I’ve learned. Let’s just hope he doesn’t become a problem.
