Reviews I Have Gotten

Published by dianae at 12:49 am under General Edit This

I belong to this site that brings traffic to this blog. Within this site, other users can make reviews on my site. Now, I don’t particularly like this feature, because I don’t really care about opinions of other people (unless they are good, of course!), but I’ve decided to share with you a few of the stranger reviews I’ve gotten regarding this site you are reading.

“Just another dating site who’s trying to help other people increase their love lives.”

Well, probably at first, but then I decided that my real life was much more interesting than any advice I could give. So I started giving it a more personal feel to it. Because yes, my life can be a trainwreck sometimes.

I will have to take a closer look later on….”

Hmm, then why did you bother to comment on it in the first place? If you are going to give constructive criticism, then take the time to do it now, not later! Sheesh. :)

“I found this site to be, what’s the word.. insipid comes to mind using this gals site as a guide to dating almost guaranties elimination of our species”

Haha yes, that is part of my evil plan. :X

“A lot of experiaence. But the writer doesnt seem to be a girl.”

I assure you my friend, I AM a girl. Don’t ask me to prove it though. :)

“Good blog. Either you are super fine or the man has self esteem problems. Get you an order of protection. I don’t your sexual tendencies, but get off of online dating and love yourself enough that you will find the right person. Patience my friend, patience.”

Sounds like this person doesn’t like online dating. I’m tired of having patience, I want things to happen now!

“you would better re-design it again! it is ver simple and very ….useless!.”

Ugh, the person that wrote that has their own blog and I’m afraid to look at their wonderful use of the English language.

“A good Website. Maybe i found it humorous.”

Well could you make up your mind and let me know?

Even more of the reviews were positive, liking my writing style and stories. So I guess it’s not all bad, but whenever I get a notice that someone has reviewed my site, I cringe because I expect to see something bad. :)

Is it odd that I almost enjoy bad reviews? I mean, obviously I want people to like my blog, but bad reviews are just so….funny! ;-)

Judging by these reviews, “being horrible at spelling and grammar” is a prerequisite for reviewing websites…

You are your own best/worst critic. I know it’s you, but who cares what other people think. All that matters is knowing you are good at what you do and having confidence in yourself!

If they don’t like your blog they don’t have to read it. Or comment on it. And I agree with Kev, grammar and spelling tells me a lot about these people. I’d be more afraid if they liked your site.

    How about:
“An excellent blog that chronicles the adventures of a single woman as she eagerly waits for love.”

I know the site you mean, which reminds me that I have to visit there tonight. Sarah, people do reviews on sites they don’t like so they can get credits. I should post a few reviews too.

You’re a lady? You really dont have to prove it. Hope you post more graphics so that your digital pheromones can attract more men.

    Happy Hunting!

Angi: It’s funny, because I can take criticism on my writing from editors and other writers, but when someone leaves a bad comment, I get scared and don’t want to look. Sometimes on the site I write health articles for, when I see I have a comment, I’ll call up my mom and have her check it in case it’s a nasty comment. Sometimes readers can be brutal. :)

Kev: Yeah, I’m surprised that some of these people have their own sites. They shouldn’t be allowed to own a website if they can’t use basic English grammar.

Dean: I have confidence in certain areas of my writing. But when you hear nasty comments over and over, it just starts to wear you down. :)

Sarah: That’s true. The people that gave me good reviews had perfect spelling.

Davida: Thank you! Finally a review worth reading! :)

XZChief: I’ve done a few reviews there, but it’s mostly sites that want you to buy their product, so it’s not worth my time to review them.

Papu: Me posting more pictures would actually DETER men from this site! :)

Hi D-Lo: The site I’m referring to is called Linkreferral.com. There should be a button on my site that you can click to get to it. I usually get at least 100 new visitors a month from that site. Good luck! :)
