Overnight Getaway
I’m so excited. In a few days I will be in Canada having a great time. It’s only for a night, but I’ll take what I can get. 
It’s rare that the two of us have the same day off of work, so when that happens, we’ve been taking advantage of it. He has off this Friday, the day before July 4th, and I’m usually off on Fridays anyways from the store, so we talked about going on a mini-trip.
We usually talk about doing stuff, but never do it. We just end up sitting around wasting the day away. So when he suggested we go to Canada overnight, I told him that was cool, but that we should actually do it instead of talking about it.
So the next day when I was at work, he sent me a text saying that he booked us a room and dinner reservations and everything.
I can’t wait, I’m so excited. 
This will be our first ‘get-away’, even though it’s only overnight. But I’ve had horrible experiences with boyfriends and overnight trips, so we’ll see what happens. But since he’s the coolest guy on the planet, I’m sure there will be no problems.
Then I have to be back on July 4th at the store to see all my favorite drunken customers. :X
I stumbled on your blog and think it’s really fun and insightful. So what was your first date with this guy like? Almost every date I’ve been ends with the awkward “how’s gonna reach for the check”. Pretty crappy, huh.
